Growing.

As people, we tend to have this habit of ‘growing’ as we get older. Sometimes we may not notice it because our growth is so small, but it happens every day.
It doesn’t take something big to make us grow as people either, it can be something as small as taking the wrong bus somewhere. We realise that we need to be more careful and attentive with things in the future.
However the time that we see growth the most is when we lose something or someone, especially when it comes to love. This though is a much slower process.
When we lose someone that we love, we grasp on to everything we were or used to be which made that person love us. Trying to hold onto that last inch of hope that it or they will come back. But when we get past this and realise that we’re better off moving forward instead of lingering in the past, the way in which we grow from it is phenomenal. We become stronger for it, more motivated and sometimes even change in ways we wouldn’t have thought was possible before we stopped lingering.
So if, not much unlike myself, you are going through a tough time, remember that once you’ve gotten over the hurdle you’ll be better for it. Don’t give up just because the path seems impossible and painful, we all need these growing pains to get to who we want to be.
