Day 2

Today's kind of weather is the weather I long for in summer. Cold, crisp and fresh. The 'blow the cobwebs away' kind of cold.
Don't get me wrong, in the summer, I'm the queen of the sun lounger, and live the tan life, but I run so hot that two showers a day are almost mandatory. I'm not a fan of that sticky swollen feeling that comes with the hot weather.
I'm 100% built for sweater + beanie hat weather. Sit me on the sofa in comfy clothes + my old lady slippers with a hot chocolate + a good book, and I'm happier than a pig in mud!
It also feels like it's easier to be social at this time of year. So may activities are indoor in places that 9 times out of 10 don't have working aircon in the summer and are much more bearable in the winter. In the summer it's almost unbearable to leave the house in anything more than underwear! I'd much rather be wrapped up in a million layers this time of year sat by a fire in a pub with a mulled wine. Though a shady beer garden with an ice cold cider in the height of summer isn't too bad I suppose..
The only downside to winter is the dark mornings and afternoons, cause let's be honest, it get dark at 4. I'm sure that's what is making me feel so tired, hungry and unable to function without 12 cups of coffee before 10am.
Best of both worlds for me would be slightly longer days (not the 24 hours of daylight they have in Scandinavia) and cold weather, without my car freezing in the morning so I'm not in even more of a rush than usual!
